Walking on another lonely street,
like a pilgrim in search of redemption.
I spent my whole life right here
where every path I’d chose lead to evanescence.
I remember when I was a boy,
in my kingdoms there were no frontiers.
Now the ocean rises like a wall
and my heart has long forgot to shelter dreams.
Climb up that mountain again;
feel the air, feel the pain.
Don’t fear the voices you hear,
drink your cup, say a pray.
I can see some people waiting for
faded buses roaming darkened highways.
And I wonder if a foolish man
can escape from his own unfinished cage.
Well there’s nothing like a rainy night
when the river learns to find its way
through the stretches of your tired soul,
filling the emptiness you try so hide so hard…
Climb up that mountain again;
feel the air, feel the pain.
Don’t fear the voices you hear,
drink your cup, say a pray.
